How can I implement local business schema on my website?

This is a question that many business owners are asking as they look for ways to increase their visibility online. Local business schema is a type of structured data markup that can be added to your website to help search engines better understand the content on your page. It can also be used to display additional information on the search engine results page (SERP) such as reviews, ratings, and contact information.

Local business schema is relatively easy and can be done by adding a few lines of code to your sites HTML. The code should include information about your business so you’ll need to identify the basics such as name, address, phone number, and type of business. You can also add additional information such as opening hours, payment methods, and reviews.

You can use a schema generator tool which is an easier way to build structured data.

How can I upload local business schema to my website?

Great question, this can be done multiple ways depending on your experience with HTML and website code, but i’ll give you two:

  • The easiest way to upload schema on wordpress is by downloading the ‘header footer code manager’ plugin, creating a snippet for the page you want the code uploaded to, pasting the code into the text box and pressing save.

  • The best way to upload schema on WordPress (or any site) is to go into the specific page via FTP or theme editor and paste the schema code within the <body> section.

There are many types of schema properties and markup code, and you can see a full guide to these here.
